Madrid’s Public Transport Company is Undertaking the Largest Fleet Renovation of its History. In 2019 and 2020 the municipal transport company is in the process of purchasing 460 standard CNG buses. The total investment in new units (including 55 standard electric buses and 10 electric minibuses) will amount to a total of € 92.1 million in 2019 and and € 81 million in 2020.
Sofia (Bulgaria)
Bulgarian municipal company Public Transport - Pernik launched a € 2.1 million euro tender for supply of 13 new buses running on compressed natural gas (CNG).
The project benefits from EU funding under Operational Programme Regions in Growth 2014-2020, Public Transport - Pernik said in a tender notice earlier this week.
The buses should meet at least EURO VI emission standards. and should have at least 20 seats and space for at least 30 standing passengers.
The deadline for submitting offers is April 8.
The bids will be ranked based on price, which will form 40% of the final mark, energy efficiency - with 35% weight, technical characteristics (20% weight), and warranty period (5% weight).
Pune (India)
Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) director Siddharth Shirole announced that the tender for 440 CNG buses on a rental basis will be opened after the elections. We expect those buses to join the fleet by August,” Shirole told TOI. “By the end of this year, we should have 1,000 new buses and by next year, 600 more,” he said.
Calgary (Canada)
A total of 17 municipal transit systems will share $215 million from the new Alberta Community Transit Fund, launched in August 2018. Projects include the purchase of 52 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses in Calgary.
