As a result of a multi-year and constant petition process from the gas mobility Industry, the ministries of Infrastructure and Transport, the Interior and Economic Development, have approved the launch in Italy of self-service refueling for CNG for vehicles, with the assistance of SNAM4Mobility and the activation of the portal www.iovadoametano.it .
The portal, created by SNAM on the recommendation of these ministries and in collaboration with the Fire Brigade, will make available to motorists all the useful instructions, also in the form of video tutorials, to carry out the refueling independently and safely. The site is already online. Users will be able to use the information after simple and free registration.
Access to the www.iovadoametano.it portal will also allow users to consult the map of the more than 1400 authorized distributors located throughout the country who, in the meantime, are preparing to allow refueling in self-service mode.
Until now, in order to refuel users had to go to the dispensers during station opening hours and only if the personnel of the petrol station was present. From now on, however, it will be possible to refuel even outside the opening hours of the petrol station, being able to take advantage of the classic automatic refueling system.
